Zack Bennett Named Permanent Host of Pure American Country

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 23, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Veteran Nashville broadcaster Zack Bennett has been named the permanent host of the nationally syndicated weekly radio program Pure American Country and its daily companion, the Pure American Country Radio Minute. This appointment marks a significant milestone for Pure American Networks, Inc., as Bennett steps into the role previously held by the late Bill Cody and before that, Jim Ed Brown.

Bennett, who has served as interim host since the death of Cody in June, brings a wealth of experience to the role. His 27-year career in radio includes stints at WANT-FM in Lebanon, Tennessee, and 95.5 Nash Icon in Nashville. He has also worked extensively with Westwood One and has been a key part of the team responsible for planning and producing every Grand Ole Opry show for the past four years.

Bennett's appointment is seen as a continuation of the program's mission to connect with its audience through familiar music and storytelling.
