Western Star Resources launches drone survey at Eagle Point tungsten project

Vancouver, Canada, September 2, 2026, Western Star Resources Inc., a mineral exploration company, has launched a high-resolution drone magnetic survey at its 100%-owned Eagle Point tungsten project in Hidalgo County, New Mexico. The survey aims to enhance the company’s understanding of the geological structure and potential mineral deposits beneath the property.

Western Star Resources, led by CEO and President Blake Morgan, has mobilized a geophysical field crew to conduct the survey. This initiative builds on the success of previous drone magnetic surveys at the Rowland and Whitestar properties in Nevada. According to Morgan, the new survey will use the same advanced techniques and processing workflow that were pivotal in identifying key mineralization at those properties.

"The survey will cover the property at 25 to 50 meters line spacing, allowing us to map the geometry and extent of the limestone-intrusive contact and magnetite-bearing tactite bodies that host scheelite mineralization," explained Morgan. "This is crucial for extending our knowledge of the known skarn bodies and identifying new targets for future exploration and drilling."

The survey is expected to be completed in about three weeks. Once the data is processed, it will be integrated with the company’s geological mapping and sampling programs to prioritize targets for drilling and support the drilling permit application process.

"This new survey is part of our ongoing exploration program at Eagle Point, which has already exceeded our expectations," said Morgan. "We want to build on this momentum by adding another layer of detail before our maiden drill program in 2026."

The survey methodology will also help to map the skarn-intrusive contact, a significant geological feature that has not been extensively tested with modern geophysical techniques. This information will be invaluable for refining the company’s understanding of the Eagle Point project and guiding future exploration efforts.

The survey will cover the entire property, providing a comprehensive dataset that will be used to enhance the company’s exploration strategy. The processed products and interpretation are expected to provide Western Star with a clearer picture of the potential mineralization and geological structure of the area.
