PROVO, Utah, Oct. 21, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- The Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce has launched the Utah Valley Regional Alliance (UVRA), a new leadership coalition aimed at aligning business, government, and civic leaders to shape the region’s long-term future. As Utah County experiences unprecedented growth, the UVRA seeks to address critical regional priorities such as infrastructure, workforce development, housing, transportation, economic competitiveness, and public-private collaboration.

Curtis Blair, president and CEO of the Utah Valley Chamber, emphasized the importance of collective effort in the region's development.

The UVRA is designed to serve as a regional convening platform, bringing together influential leaders from various sectors, including business, government, education, transportation, healthcare, and economic development. The Alliance is chaired by Harvey Scott, former chair of the Utah Valley Chamber, and includes members such as Charles Balch, Mary C. Beckerle, Carine Clark, and others listed in the press release.

Blair explained that the UVRA complements the Chamber’s existing mission rather than replacing it. The Alliance’s Board of Governors will work on regional strategy and long-range planning, ensuring that Utah Valley grows with intention, alignment, and a shared vision for the future.

The region is expected to approach one million residents, facing significant decisions related to housing, transportation, and the 2034 Olympic legacy. The UVRA aims to help the community navigate these challenges by fostering cross-sector collaboration and long-range planning. The Alliance will focus on regional priorities that no single organization can solve alone, including infrastructure, workforce development, housing, transportation, economic competitiveness, and public-private collaboration.

The UVRA will be guided by a Board of Governors chaired by Harvey Scott, former chair of the Utah Valley Chamber, and composed of influential leaders from business, government, education, and major institutions across Utah Valley.
