BERLIN, Sept. 5, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- At the International Consumer Electronics Show (IFA) 2026, Tuya Smart unveiled a range of cutting-edge AI technologies designed to bring artificial intelligence into everyday life. The company showcased its latest advancements in physical AI, emphasizing practical applications across homes, energy systems, robotics, and personal assistance.
Tuya Smart’s star exhibit was the global debut of Doova, a home companion robot designed for seniors. This robot combines emotional companionship, daily assistance, and health reminders, equipped with advanced sensors and AI algorithms. Doova can navigate to users, assess their posture, and initiate video calls to family members. It also offers a range of daily assistance features, from holding conversations and playing content to guiding users through complex tasks and managing smart appliances. When users are away, Doova can patrol the home and generate security reports.
Additionally, Tuya Smart presented the European debut of its AI Home, AI Robot, and AI Energy ecosystems. AI Home features a suite of AI-powered devices, such as an AI radar sleep speaker and an AI pet collar. The AI radar sleep speaker uses millimeter-wave radar to monitor user activity, triggering smart home functions like turning off lights automatically once the user falls asleep. It also provides real-time health analysis and relaxation aids. The AI pet collar uses AI to interpret a pet's vocalizations and breathing, enhancing pet care with real-time monitoring.
The AI Robot products include Aura, Fuzozo, and Walulu, which combine behavioral analysis and interactive features to support pet care and companionship. Tuya Smart’s AI Energy system integrates household energy management, connecting solar, storage, and EV charging into a comprehensive energy network. By leveraging real-time tariff data, the system helps reduce energy costs and improve efficiency.
Tuya Smart also demonstrated its end-to-end Matter portfolio, showcasing a full-stack offering of chip modules and cloud services. This includes support for Matter over Wi-Fi, Thread, and Ethernet, along with bridges from Zigbee, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi to Matter. The company’s developer tools, TuyaOpen and Tuya Cobuilder, enable rapid development of AI applications that can interact with and enhance daily life.
At the heart of Tuya Smart’s exhibit was Hey Tuya, a natural language platform designed to coordinate services and devices across various scenarios. Users can issue commands like "Turn on the dining room lights" or "I'm leaving, activate monitoring," allowing multiple devices to respond in unison. This platform offers home security monitoring, energy analysis, and personalized automation across devices.
Tuya Smart aims to continue improving Hey Tuya’s functionality and exploring value-added services. The company also highlighted its developer tools, which allow users to create AI-powered applications with ease. By integrating AI applications, interoperable device infrastructure, and development tools into a single ecosystem, Tuya Smart is empowering its global AIoT developer community to create practical AI products more efficiently.
As of June 30, 2026, Tuya Smart’s AI Developer Platform had over 2,092,000 registered developers from more than 200 countries and regions. The company’s focus remains on bringing AI into everyday life, making smart living safer, more convenient, and more responsive to individual needs.
