TrewUp Launches TrewValidate, TrewInsights, and Trewdy to Enhance Trade Spend Management

TrewUp, the leading trade spend intelligence platform for mid-market consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands, has introduced three new capabilities to revolutionize how Finance and Sales teams manage and optimize their trade spend data. The new tools—TrewValidate, TrewInsights, and Trewdy—extend TrewUp’s suite of services, providing unparalleled clarity and actionable insights.
Launched on September 1, 2026, these innovations are designed to streamline and enhance the accuracy and efficiency of trade spend management. "TrewUp wasn't built by guessing," said Kyle Barnholt, CEO and Co-Founder of TrewUp. "Our leadership team brings over 120 years of combined experience in both CPG operations and AI-driven software, ensuring our solutions are deeply rooted in real-world knowledge."
TrewValidate, the first new feature, automates the process of verifying trade spend against promotional contracts. Traditionally, this involved manual scrutiny of hundreds of pages of deductions. TrewValidate simplifies this by comparing contracts line by line, down to the UPC and retailer level, identifying any discrepancies and facilitating faster approval or dispute processes.
Next, TrewInsights connects TrewUp’s deduction and trade spend data with SPINS syndicated point-of-sale data. This integration allows brands to gain a comprehensive view of promotion performance, beyond just costs. "Brands can now quickly analyze the impact of a promotion," explained Barnholt. "They can see exactly what was spent, what was driven, and whether it's worth repeating."
Finally, Trewdy offers autonomous discovery, answering critical questions such as over-spending at specific retailers or the effectiveness of recent promotions. "These features are built based on direct customer feedback," Barnholt emphasized. "Our platform has processed over $1.1 billion in deductions and tracked more than $4 billion in purchase orders, with an average recovery of about $100,000 per customer and a return on investment of around four times."
