RIFT Tool Predicts Global Instability Early

Using RIFT, analysts traced the forecast to its drivers: a planned mass mobilization in New Delhi by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) demanding the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner. This resulted in the police denial of protest permits and the deployment of roughly 23,000 security personnel.

During the same period, RIFT rated Saudi Arabia "Critical" and rising, a rare reading for a country with a low baseline of violence. On October 10, Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels launched a ballistic missile attack against the international airport in Riyadh.
