REHOVOT, Israel, Oct. 29, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Purple Biotech Ltd., a biotechnology company developing a next-generation immunotherapy platform designed to maximize anti-cancer activity while minimizing toxicity, announced that an abstract on its lead tri-specific antibody, IM1240, has been selected for an oral presentation at the 38th EORTC-NCI-AACR Symposium on Molecular Targets and Cancer Therapeutics. The presentation is scheduled for November 20, 2026, at 15:00 Central European Time (CET) in Barcelona, Spain.
The presentation is part of the symposium's Plenary Session 7: Proffered Papers, with the abstract number ENA26-0137.
IM1240 is part of Purple Biotech's CAPTN-3 platform, which is designed to simultaneously target tumors while engaging both T cells and NK cells. The platform's conditional CD3 masking approach is intended to confine immune activation to the tumor microenvironment, significantly expanding the therapeutic window compared to conventional T-cell engagers. The company is currently advancing IM1240 toward the clinic and plans to complete its IND-enabling work and, subject to regulatory clearance, initiate a first-in-human clinical study in 2027.
Purple Biotech's Interim Chief Executive Officer, Isaac Israel, expressed satisfaction with the selection of the abstract for a plenary session oral presentation.
The presentation will provide insights into the multi-arm mechanism of action of IM1240, including its engagement of NKG2A, as well as data on pharmacokinetic and safety evaluations. The company's second candidate, IM1305, is currently in preclinical development. Purple Biotech is headquartered in Rehovot, Israel, and its focus is on advancing its CAPTN-3 platform to develop next-generation immunotherapies.
