VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 01, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Pecoy Copper Corp. has announced new assay results from six diamond drill holes, expanding its mineralized footprint at the Pecoy Copper-Gold-Molybdenum-Silver Project in southern Peru. The results come as part of the company’s 35,000-metre 2026 drill program, with the latest holes testing the South Breccia, Northwest, Centre-of-Pit, and North-Central target areas.

The most significant result was from PEC26-072, which added a third broad copper-gold intercept at South Breccia. The hole intersected 804.0 metres grading 0.34% copper (Cu) and 0.08 grams per tonne (g/t) gold (Au), including 485.2 metres grading 0.40% Cu and 0.09 g/t Au, and 100.8 metres grading 0.56% Cu and 0.13 g/t Au. This result further supports the lateral continuity of the South Breccia and highlights the potential for mineralization to the west.

PEC26-067 in the Northwest area produced the strongest near-surface copper result outside South Breccia, with 209.0 metres grading 0.40% Cu from 15.0 metres, including 137.0 metres grading 0.50% Cu, 50.0 metres grading 0.91% Cu, and 11.1 metres grading 1.90% Cu. A separate deeper interval returned 296.0 metres grading 0.24% Cu and 0.009% molybdenum (Mo) from 744.0 metres to the end of the 1,040.0-metre hole. These results extend known mineralization at Northwest and establish it as a leading follow-up priority.

Additional results from PEC26-070 in the North-Central area showed 345.0 metres grading 0.25% Cu from 424.0 metres, including 194.65 metres grading 0.30% Cu and 83.0 metres grading 0.34% Cu. The findings confirm a broad mineralized interval at depth in the less-explored North-Central area, providing new targets for future geological and resource evaluation.

The Centre-of-Pit area saw near-surface copper intervals from PEC26-069 and PEC26-071, while PEC26-068 encountered hydrothermal brecciation near the bottom of the hole. These results offer additional data points for three-dimensional modeling and target vectoring.

Overall, the six holes collectively demonstrate the presence of copper mineralization across multiple target areas, reinforcing the exploration potential of the Pecoy property. The company plans to continue evaluating the scale and lateral extension of the South Breccia and follow up on the Northwest sector, which shows strong near-surface and deeper mineralization.
