PLYMOUTH, Mass., The grand opening of Nordstrom Rack at Colony Place marked a significant milestone for the retail center, enhancing its position as a leading shopping destination in the region. The 27,000-square-foot store, which opened just before Labor Day, was the result of a seamless collaboration between DLC, Renovo Construction, and NWS Architects, all of whom ensured the project was completed on time and within budget.
The store’s opening, less than a year after groundbreaking in November 2025, underscores the efficiency and coordination among the teams involved. DLC’s fully integrated platform, Renovo Construction’s role as general contractor, and NWS Architects’ design services all played crucial roles in bringing the project to fruition.
"Adding Nordstrom Rack to Colony Place is a game-changer for our shoppers," said Adam Ifshin, Founder and CEO of DLC. "This store not only strengthens our existing retail offerings but also provides a compelling reason for customers to visit our center."
The decision to develop the land within Colony Place was strategic, according to Chris Ressa, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of DLC. "We saw an opportunity to create a unique space that could not be found elsewhere, and we were able to make it happen," he explained.
Peyton Thomas, Vice President of Renovo Construction, highlighted the importance of teamwork and communication in the project’s success. "Delivering a ground-up store on such a tight timeline required discipline, clear communication, and quick decision-making," he said.
Ken Nadolski, Managing Principal of NWS Architects, emphasized the value of strong design coordination. "Our team worked closely with Renovo, DLC, and Nordstrom Rack to ensure that every decision moved us forward efficiently while preserving the design intent and enhancing the customer experience," he noted.
The opening of Nordstrom Rack at Colony Place further cements the center’s reputation as a major retail hub serving Plymouth and the surrounding areas. It also illustrates how DLC’s owner-operator model and integrated platform can streamline processes, leading to faster and more accountable project completions.
"This project is a testament to the power of a unified team focused on execution," concluded Ifshin. "It sets a high bar for future projects and demonstrates what can be achieved when all stakeholders are aligned."
With this addition, Colony Place continues to strengthen its position as a premier shopping destination, offering a wide array of retail options to meet the needs of local shoppers.
