LiberNovo to showcase Maxis Series at IFA 2026

BERLIN, LiberNovo, a company known for its ergonomic seating solutions, will showcase its latest innovation, the Maxis Series, at the International Fair for Consumer Electronics (IFA) 2026. The exhibition, taking place from September 4 to 8 at Messe Berlin, aims to highlight the unique features of the Maxis Series, which is specifically designed for big and tall users.

LiberNovo, founded in 1924, is one of the key participants at this year’s IFA, which has the theme "The future is now." The event, a global platform for consumer technology and home appliances, features product launches, demonstrations, and industry meetings that shape the tech conversation beyond Berlin.

The Maxis Series stands out at the LiberNovo booth in Hall 7, Stand 7.2a-105. This ergonomic seating range is part of a broader lineup that includes the LiberNovo Omni Pro and LiberNovo Omni SE. Notably, the LiberNovo Omni Pro has been nominated in two IFA Innovation Awards categories: Best in Design and Best in Tech for Good & Accessibility.

“Maxis was designed with a broader frame in mind, addressing the specific needs of taller, broader, and heavier users,” said Yanle, the Founder and CEO of LiberNovo. “Our aim is to provide a more comfortable and supportive experience, rather than simply scaling up a standard chair.”

The Maxis Series offers a 52 cm (20.5-inch) seat depth and a wider cushion, providing more room to shift and better thigh support. The chair’s multi-density foam is firmer at the back, supporting the sitting bones, and softer at the front to reduce pressure on the thighs. A reinforced frame, an aluminum-alloy base, and four-direction armrests create a stable platform for extended periods of sitting.

All three versions of the Maxis Series feature a five-stage recline from 105° to 160°, with progressive springs that help the chair maintain steady support through each position. The Maxis Manual uses a knob to set lumbar depth, while the Maxis Electric adds motorized lumbar support and OmniStretch, a button-activated guided back stretch. Maxis Airflow includes Active Airflow seat ventilation for use in warmer environments.

“Most big and tall chairs are essentially a standard chair with increased dimensions,” Yanle explained. “Our approach was to design Maxis around how a larger body interacts with a chair throughout a full day. Berlin will be the first place where people can sit in all three versions and truly assess their unique benefits.”

LiberNovo’s Dynamic Ergonomics principle emphasizes that support should adapt to the user’s changing posture and work rhythm. This is evident in the Maxis Series, which offers adjustable lumbar depth and a recline range that supports focused desk work through full relaxation. Responsive neck support is designed to sit against the cervical spine, with its angle adjusting through recline to help maintain a user’s eyeline toward the screen.

The Omni Pro, a part of the Maxis lineup, expands on these features with motorized lumbar adjustment, OmniStretch, and Active Airflow ventilation. The manually adjusted Omni SE serves as a practical entry point to LiberNovo’s Dynamic Ergonomics principles, complementing the Maxis Series for users with different body types and preferences.

In addition to its product showcase, LiberNovo is also supporting Special Olympics New York. The company has donated LiberNovo Omni ergonomic chairs to the Albany headquarters, NYC office, and Long Island office, aiming to provide a comfortable and supportive environment for office teams.
