Home Run Inn, which began as a tavern on Chicago's Southside in 1923, has now ventured deeper into its almost 80-year-old tavern-style roots with the launch of its new Pan Pizza. The legendary flavor of the original tavern-style pizza is unmistakable in the new crave-worthy Pan Pizza, featuring Home Run Inn’s unique flavorful crust, just thicker, and generously loaded with freshly sliced mozzarella and signature tomato sauce, blended with a secret family recipe. The Pan Pizza is available in five 9-inch varieties - Cheese, Sausage, Sausage Pepperoni, Meat Lovers, and Pepperoni.
To kick-off the new Pan Pizza, Home Run Inn Restaurants will host "Free Pizza Fridays" every Friday throughout the month of November, where the purchase of any extra-large (XL) cheese or sausage pizza for dine-in or carryout includes a free frozen Home Run Inn pan pizza (one per order).
The company's history is rich with milestones. On Chicago's Southside in 1923, the tavern that would become Home Run Inn was established. The establishment officially served its signature crispy crust pizza in the early 1940s.
