MANCHESTER, N.H., Oct. 20, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Allegro MicroSystems, Inc., a global leader in motion control and energy-efficient systems, is expanding its robotics portfolio with precision sensing and 48V power architectures to address critical hardware challenges in physical AI, including torque density, thermal management, and functional safety for human-robot collaboration.

The company is unveiling a suite of innovative solutions designed to enhance the performance and reliability of humanoid robots. Key portfolio innovations include the A81481 48V power management IC, which integrates dual buck regulators, five low-dropout (LDO) outputs, and ASIL-D-capable safety diagnostics into a compact 6x6 mm package. This single-chip solution reduces overall system footprint and hardware costs by 50%, thereby accelerating the time-to-market for robotics OEMs.

For high-torque joint applications, Allegro has developed the A17802 and A17803 inductive position sensors, which deliver stray-field immunity without the need for supplemental shielding and can tolerate mechanical air-gap variations. These sensors provide accurate and reliable position measurement in demanding motor control environments, ensuring precise and consistent motion control.

In addition, Allegro’s CT310 XtremeSense™ TMR and A33023 Hall-effect angle sensors offer sub-degree precision for fluid, natural motion. The CT310, available in a 2x2 mm DFN package, delivers sub-degree accuracy and is resilient to contamination, mechanical shock, and runout, which can degrade traditional encoder technologies. The A33023, with its low-latency and stray-field immunity, provides multiple digital output options for applications requiring robust diagnostics and functional safety support.

These advancements are particularly relevant for autonomous humanoids, where every gram and millimeter counts. By combining true 48V power management, robust motor and gate drivers, stray-field-immune inductive sensors, and compact TMR sensors, Allegro is providing robotics engineers with integrated, safety-ready building blocks to maximize torque, manage tight tolerances, and enable fluid motion.

Availability for the A17802 and A17803 QFN package variant inductive position sensors, the CT310 TMR angle sensor, the A33023 Hall-effect angle sensor, and the A81481 PMIC, including samples and evaluation support, is available at Allegro Robotics Building Blocks.
