X4 Pharmaceuticals grants stock options to new employees under inducement plan
BOSTON, Sept. 01, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- X4 Pharmaceuticals, a biotech company dedicated to improving the lives of people with rare hematology diseases, has expanded its team through a strategic inducement award. On August 31, 2026, the company granted stock options to new employees, as part of the X4 Pharmaceuticals, Inc. 2019 Inducement Equity Incentive Plan.
These options, totaling 50,000 shares of the company’s common stock, were issued under the terms of Nasdaq Listing Rule 5635(c)(4). The options, with a ten-year term and an exercise price of $4.04 per share (the closing price on the grant date), will vest over a four-year period. Twenty-five percent of the shares vest after one year, with the remaining shares vesting monthly over the following 36 months, contingent on the employee’s continued employment with X4.
X4 Pharmaceuticals, headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, focuses on developing and commercializing therapies for significant unmet medical needs. The company’s lead product, mavorixafor, is an orally available CXCR4 antagonist approved in the U.S. and EU for WHIM syndrome. Currently, X4 is conducting a global, pivotal Phase 3 clinical trial (4WARD) evaluating mavorixafor in chronic neutropenic disorders, with the U.S. FDA having granted Fast Track designation for the drug in treating chronic neutropenia.
"By offering these inducement awards, we are reinforcing our commitment to excellence and innovation," Bernarda added. "These new hires will be integral to advancing our research and bringing much-needed treatments to patients."
The inducement awards align with X4's broader strategy to build a robust and dynamic team capable of driving the company's innovative therapies forward. As X4 continues to expand its clinical trials and explore new therapeutic areas, the addition of these new employees is seen as a crucial step in the company's growth and success.
