Wrexham AFC Partners with KNOX Hydration

Wrexham AFC, the oldest football club in Wales and the third oldest professional team in the world, has announced a new partnership with KNOX Hydration, a functional sports beverage brand. The multi-year deal positions KNOX as the club’s official hydration partner, marking a significant step in the club’s journey to enhance player performance and support its community.
The partnership, effective immediately, will see KNOX Hydration’s products integrated into the training and performance environment across Wrexham AFC’s men’s and women’s first teams and Academy. Additionally, KNOX will serve as the naming rights partner for the club’s newly installed training pavilion, further emphasizing the brand’s commitment to supporting the club’s growth and development.

The partnership will also extend to the club’s training facilities, with KNOX Hydration’s brand and products visible around the team dugouts and dressing rooms at both the Racecourse Ground and The Rock. Kevin Mulholland, Wrexham AFC’s Head of Performance & Sports Science, will work closely with KNOX to support player recovery and performance through hydration.
Beyond supporting the club’s elite athletes, KNOX and Wrexham AFC share a commitment to encouraging communities to be more active and making hydration accessible to everyone, from professional athletes to children taking part in their first sport. Together, the organizations will explore opportunities to support participation, wellbeing, and a more active community in Wrexham.
Wrexham AFC, formed in 1864, has a rich history, having won the Welsh Cup a record 23 times and beating some of the biggest clubs in the game in the English FA Cup and UEFA European Cup Winners Cup. The club is currently competing in the EFL Championship, the second tier of the English football league pyramid. Wrexham AFC is owned by Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds, with the goal of growing the team and establishing Wrexham AFC as a Premier League club in front of increased attendances and in an improved stadium, while making a positive difference to the wider community in Wrexham.
