WEO Media and Marketly Digital, two dental-focused marketing agencies, have merged to form WEO Marketly, a new entity dedicated to serving the unique needs of dentist-owned practices. The merger, which took place in May 2026, brings together the complementary strengths of the two firms, creating a more comprehensive solution for dental practices.

WEO Media, founded in 2009, developed the technical engine for dental marketing, including search engine optimization, AI search visibility, and ROI tracking. Marketly Digital, which was established in 1999 as Roadside Dental Marketing, built the brand engine, focusing on storytelling, video, social media, and websites that help practices stand out to potential patients. Together, the two agencies have served 4,657 dental practices, with an average client relationship lasting 7.4 years.

The founders, Cory Roletto and Shannon Mackey, first met at a Backstage Mastermind retreat. They were among three marketing companies in the room, and instead of competing, they decided to collaborate. Roletto and Mackey spent nine months working together on joint clients before deciding to merge their companies. Their 30-minute meeting turned into a 90-minute session, and they won the account they were pitching. This experience led them to combine their efforts, aiming to eliminate the "black box" of marketing where money goes in and reports come out without clear insights into what drives patient visits.
