VinFast Names New Leaders for Global Expansion

HANOI, Vietnam, Sept. 12, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- VinFast, a subsidiary of Vingroup JSC, has announced significant leadership changes as part of its strategic expansion plans. Mr. Pham Nhat Quan Anh, currently the Chairman of VinFast Global, will now concurrently serve as the CEO of VinFast Global and VinFast Vietnam. This transition is part of Vingroup’s broader strategy to groom younger leaders and enhance the company’s global presence.
Mr. Quan Anh, born in 1993, holds a Bachelor's degree from Singapore Management University. He has held several key leadership positions within the Vingroup ecosystem before his recent appointment. With extensive cross-sector management experience, Quan Anh is expected to lead VinFast into a new phase of growth. VinFast currently operates in 16 countries, including key markets such as Vietnam, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. The company's product lineup includes a wide range of electric cars, e-scooters, e-bikes, and e-buses. As VinFast embarks on its next growth phase, it is rapidly scaling its distribution and franchised dealership network globally while expanding its global manufacturing footprint.
In a related development, GSM, another Vingroup subsidiary, has also announced leadership changes. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan, currently the CEO of GSM Global, will assume the role of Chairman of GSM Global, succeeding Ms. Pham Thu Huong. Mr. Pham Nhat Minh Hoang will succeed Tuan as CEO of GSM Global and concurrently CEO of GSM Vietnam. Minh Hoang, born in 2000, has held senior leadership positions at VinFast, Green Future, VinSmart Future, GSM, and other companies. He has also directly invested in and serves as a major shareholder of several industrial, technology, energy, and infrastructure companies within the Vingroup ecosystem.
GSM operates its green mobility brand, Green SM, and currently operates in seven countries, including Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Kazakhstan, and Denmark. The company plans to expand into at least three additional markets within the year. GSM is also targeting a transition into a globally scaled public company with its shares listed on an international stock exchange.
These leadership transitions reflect Vingroup’s commitment to fostering a younger generation of leaders and aligning with the company’s growth trajectory.
