ATLANTA, GA, UNITED STATES, October 19, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Veterans Empowerment Organization (VEO) and Vigilant Torch Foundation (VTF) have joined forces with QuHarrison Terry, a Dallas-based technologist and endurance athlete, to launch a groundbreaking campaign aimed at raising $1 million for veterans and their families. The initiative, titled Miles Tell the Truth, will run from October 30 to November 21, 2026, coinciding with Terry’s participation in The Great World Race, an international endurance challenge.

Terry will embark on a journey around the globe, covering a distance that will draw attention to the challenges veterans face during their transition to civilian life. The race will take him through Antarctica, Cape Town, Perth, Singapore, the Algarve, and Cartagena, before concluding at the 53rd Street Boardwalk in Miami Beach on November 21. Each mile Terry runs will highlight the housing instability, isolation, and ongoing wellness needs that veterans and their families often encounter.

VEO, based in Atlanta, provides transitional housing, wellness, and workforce development services to veterans as they work toward stability and independence. VTF, a Washington, D.C.-based organization, supports initiatives that address the needs of veterans and their families. Terry’s participation in The Great World Race is not just a physical challenge but a symbolic gesture of support for those who have served.

The campaign will officially launch on October 30 and will build momentum leading up to the race week. Corporate partners, philanthropic leaders, community organizations, and individuals are invited to support the initiative. VEO and VTF are also inviting 800 partner organizations to join in the effort to support veterans and their families.

The campaign aims to raise $1 million to support veterans and their families through transitional housing, wellness programs, and essential support services. The funds will be used to provide critical assistance to those who have served and their loved ones, ensuring they have the resources needed to navigate the challenges of civilian life.
