TEMPE, Ariz., Oct. 26, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Unlock Technologies, a financial technology company based in Tempe, Arizona, has closed its ninth home equity agreement (HEA) securitization, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth. This transaction, named Unlock HEA Trust 2026-2 (UNLOK 2026-2), securitized approximately $433.1 million of HEAs, making it the firm’s second securitization of 2026. The deal closed on October 21, and was issued and sponsored by D2 Asset Management (D2).

The securitization involved the issuance of $297.5 million of senior Class A notes rated A(low)(sf), $50.0 million of mezzanine Class B notes rated BBB(low)(sf), and $58.5 million of subordinate Class C notes rated BB(low)(sf), each rated by Morningstar DBRS. The Class A and Class B notes are investment-grade, providing a robust credit profile for investors.

Unlock Technologies has been at the forefront of the home equity agreement market since its founding in 2020. The company’s flagship product allows homeowners to access a portion of their home equity as cash, with no monthly payments, in exchange for a share of the home’s value at the end of the agreement. As of now, Unlock has provided more than 25,000 homeowners with this financial tool, which has become increasingly popular as rising costs and credit constraints challenge traditional borrowing methods.

D2 Asset Management has been a key player in Unlock’s success, sponsoring three UNLOK securitizations in the past 10 months.

The deal marks D2’s third securitization on the UNLOK shelf in 10 months. D2 sponsored the privately placed UNLOK 2025-3 in December 2025 and the broadly syndicated UNLOK 2026-1 in May 2026, establishing D2 as a programmatic sponsor of Unlock’s HEAs.

The transaction underscores the growing interest in alternative lending solutions and the increasing acceptance of HEAs as a viable financial tool. The deal also highlights the strong partnership between Unlock Technologies and D2 Asset Management, as both companies continue to innovate and expand in the home equity agreement market.
