uMETHOD Health Publishes Study Showing Favorable Cognitive Outcomes with AI-generated Care Plans

RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 17, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- uMETHOD Health, a healthtech company based in RTP, North Carolina, has published a peer-reviewed study documenting favorable cognitive outcomes for its AI-generated RestoreU care plans.
According to the Alzheimer's Association, 7.4 million Americans aged 65 and older are living with Alzheimer's or other dementias, and the associated health care, long-term care, and hospice costs are projected to reach $409 billion in 2026. This national burden ultimately lands in the exam room one patient at a time.
RestoreU, a platform developed by uMETHOD Health, delivers repeatable, auditable clinical decision support. It combines comprehensive medical knowledge, patient-specific data, and AI-enabled analysis to enable clinicians to identify, prioritize, and address treatable causes of cognitive impairment within existing clinical workflows. The study analyzed 345 paired cognitive tests, each comparing a patient with themselves on the same validated instrument at baseline and follow-up, over a mean interval of 14.1 months. The patients in the study averaged 74.6 years of age, 9.0 comorbid conditions, 11.7 medications, and 23 clinically significant drug-drug interactions. These patients presented with a complex array of interacting variables that would be challenging to reconcile by hand during a routine office visit.
The study found that 83.5% of patients improved, remained stable, or declined slowly without transitioning into a worse diagnostic stage. Another 1.7% of patients declined more slowly than typical and transitioned into the next diagnostic state. John Q.
