Tamar Remz Named New Chair of Constructive Dialogue Institute Board

NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Tamar Remz has been appointed as the new Chair of the Constructive Dialogue Institute (CDI) Board of Directors, taking over from Co-Founder Jonathan Haidt, who will continue to serve on the board. Remz, a seasoned philanthropy leader, has been a key member of the CDI board since its founding in 2019 and has played a crucial role in the organization's growth into a national leader in constructive dialogue and campus culture change.

Remz’s appointment comes at a time when many institutions are struggling with polarization and distrust. As the new Chair, she brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit governance and philanthropy, as well as a steadfast commitment to CDI’s mission of equipping students and leaders with the skills to engage constructively across differences. “At a time when many institutions are grappling with the challenge of polarization and distrust, CDI is uniquely positioned to help equip the next generation with the skills needed to engage across differences and work together to solve complex problems,” said Remz.

The Constructive Dialogue Institute, a nonprofit organization founded by Jonathan Haidt, has partnered with over 170 colleges and universities across the nation, impacting more than half a million students through evidence-based educational programs that foster open inquiry, intellectual humility, constructive dialogue, and civic engagement. Haidt, who has served as the Board Chair since the organization’s inception, praised Remz’s leadership and strategic insight. “Tamar has been a trusted advisor and thought partner throughout that journey.
