HOUSTON, Oct. 14, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- TacticalPay LLC, a provider of point-of-sale and payment solutions for firearms businesses, has taken full ownership of the TacticalPay brand and related products. The company, which has been serving firearms retailers since 2017, now operates as an independent entity under the leadership of Rich McIver and Andy Hagans, who remain as co-founders.
Rich McIver, now CEO, and Andy Hagans, who serves as President, plan to reinvest in the company’s offerings, focusing on enhancing payment tools for gun stores. The move comes as TacticalPay aims to continue its growth through grassroots credibility and ease of use, which have been key to its success.
TacticalPay has grown largely through referrals between gun shop owners, a testament to its user-friendly nature. The company’s approval process for merchant accounts is typically completed within one to three business days, and onboarding is handled by the company’s in-house team based in Texas. These attributes have earned TacticalPay recognition from industry guides, including a top ranking in July 2025 by GunFriendlyPayments.com and a mention in August 2025 by Borderfree Payments for its commitment to the firearms industry.
TacticalPay offers entry-level plans for both in-person and online sales. For in-person transactions, the TacticalPay Tap software allows contactless payments on a smartphone, eliminating the need for a terminal. This solution is available on all major smartphone platforms and can be used at retail counters or gun shows. For online sales, the company’s E-commerce plan includes a payment gateway for a merchant’s website, listings on GunBroker, and phone orders. Both plans are priced at $69 per month, all-inclusive.
For high-volume stores, TacticalPay POS is a full-featured gun store point-of-sale system. It includes ATF compliance with an electronic bound book and 4473s, as well as tracking for serialized inventory, trade-ins, consignments, and gunsmithing. The POS plan is priced at $199 per month, plus a one-time hardware bundle.
Andy Hagans, co-founder and president, emphasized the company’s commitment to the firearms industry.
