Tabby, an AI-native bookkeeping software platform for small business owners and self-employed professionals, has launched Tabby 2.0, headlined by Tabby Talk, an AI chat assistant that can complete bookkeeping tasks and answer financial questions in plain language. This new feature, integrated into the platform, allows business owners to ask questions about their finances and receive instant answers or have tasks completed. For instance, owners can request tax estimates, unpaid invoices, or financial reports, and the AI assistant will handle the details.

Since its public launch in July 2025, Tabby has seen significant growth, with over 6,000 small business users. The company's founder, Ahad Ali, who previously ran a CPA firm serving small businesses, emphasized the shift in product development.

In addition to the new AI assistant, Tabby also offers Tabby for Accountants, a companion platform that allows accounting and bookkeeping firms to manage multiple clients' books from a single, AI-native dashboard. Currently, more than 200 accounting firms across the United States are using this service. The launch of Tabby 2.0 follows a recent TechCrunch feature on Tabby and its founder, and Tabby's selection by TechCrunch to the Startup Battlefield 200 for 2026. Since publicly launching in July 2025, Tabby has grown to over 6,000 small business users.

Tabby is an AI-native bookkeeping platform built to make financial management simpler and more accessible for small business owners and self-employed professionals. Founded in New York by Ahad Ali, CPA, and Shah Paran, Tabby automatically syncs and categorizes transactions, giving owners real-time visibility into income, expenses, profitability, and cash flow without needing to become bookkeepers themselves. The company has been recognized for its innovative approach, with its selection for the Startup Battlefield 200 in 2026.
