NORTHAMPTON, Pa., Oct. 20, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Suzanne Mattaboni, a Pushcart Prize-nominated author and former Newsday reporter, has launched her newest book, "Gore, Lust & Kin," a collection of short stories that explores feminist themes through a unique blend of horror, romance, and family dynamics. The book, published by Madville Publishing, is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and Bookshop.org.

The collection is divided into three parts: "Gore," which covers horror stories; "Lust," which explores bad romance; and "Kin," which examines familial ties. The overarching theme is the struggle of women to find their place in a world that often seems to push them to the edge.

Mattaboni, who has been recognized for her work, including being named one of the Lehigh Valley Business Journal’s “2022 Women of Influence,” has been actively promoting her book. She appeared at the Bethlehem WitchFest on October 3 and hosted a panel at the Easton Book Festival on October 18, where she discussed the challenges of writing about controversial subjects. She will also be participating in a Halloween event at 2nd & Charles Book Store in Whitehall, Pennsylvania, on October 31, and will read at the Ink & Anchors Chesapeake literary event in Maryland on November 13.

Mattaboni is also a cohost of the "GenX Book Club" series on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify, part of the popular GenX Journeys platform with Paul Stroessner, Jr. She is currently competing in the second round of the Top Host podcaster competition, spearheaded by Ryan Seacrest and benefiting his charity foundation. She ranks #4 in her contestant group, and viewers can vote for her daily.

Mattaboni's work has appeared in various publications, including Seventeen, Parents, Child, The Huffington Post, Mysterious Ways, Guideposts, and the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. She has also contributed to the 2026 White Winged Doves Stevie Nicks-themed poetry anthology.
