Supporters Gather for Faith Freedom Peace Sunday Service for Imprisoned Leader

On September 6, 2026, a significant gathering took place in the Grand Ballroom at The New Yorker Hotel in New York City. The event, titled "Faith Freedom Peace Sunday Service," brought together supporters to pray and offer expressions of solidarity for Dr. Hak Ja Han, the 83-year-old leader of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, who is currently incarcerated in South Korea.

Rev. Demian Dunkley, President of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification USA, delivered the main message. Drawing from biblical teachings, Dunkley emphasized the role of peacemakers as change makers, noting that such individuals often face resistance in their efforts to effect change. “A peacemaker is a change maker, and never in history is a change maker welcomed by the ones he seeks to change,” Dunkley stated.

Sean Pennington, a guest speaker, addressed the meaning of peace, encouraging attendees to remain committed to pursuing it even in times of conflict and difficulty. Wess Morgan, a renowned gospel artist, joined the service as a special musical guest, leading the ballroom in gospel music and worship.
