PARIS, Oct. 14, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Solera, a global leader in vehicle lifecycle management and digital transportation safety solutions, has announced a strategic collaboration with CHANGAN AUTOMOBILE EUROPE HOLDING B.V. to enhance CHANGAN’s presence in the European automotive market. This partnership aims to integrate CHANGAN vehicles into the European insurance, claims, and repair ecosystems, ensuring that the vehicles can be effectively understood, assessed, and repaired across the region.
CHANGAN has been a significant player in the European car market, accounting for nearly 12% of new-car sales in August 2026, according to Dataforce. The company is already present in 15 European markets and is using the Paris Motor Show to introduce new models to European customers. However, the challenge lies in the complex network of insurers, assessors, repairers, and parts networks that may lack familiarity with CHANGAN’s vehicles. This collaboration with Solera is crucial for CHANGAN to ensure that its vehicles can be effectively supported throughout their lifecycle.
Solera, with more than 280,000 customers and partners in 120+ countries, has spent decades building a mature technology system and has accumulated extensive experience and proven results across numerous markets. The company’s Qapter digital claims and repair platform and AI-enabled workflows will help CHANGAN vehicles integrate into established digital claims and repair workflows, enhancing repairability and parts accessibility.
The collaboration will focus on several key areas: - Data compliance and governance, ensuring appropriate handling of relevant automotive information within the European environment. - Data consistency and transparency, providing insurers, assessors, and repairers with reliable vehicle, parts, and repair information. - Connectivity and digitalization, enabling CHANGAN vehicles to integrate smoothly into existing digital claims and repair workflows.
Solera maintains relationships with more than 200 automotive OEMs worldwide, directly licensed data from more than 90% of them. As more Chinese manufacturers build their presence in Europe, Solera is well-positioned to help connect OEMs with the insurers and repairers supporting their vehicles. CHANGAN’s plans include reaching around 1,000 sales and service points by 2030, with a service and parts infrastructure that includes a pan-European call centre, a service engineering centre, and four parts centres.
