Simcere Zaiming Licenses Tri-specific Antibody SIM0660 to Roche
NANJING, China, Sept. 1, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Simcere Zaiming, a subsidiary of Simcere Pharmaceutical Group, has entered into an exclusive global licensing agreement with Roche for the development and commercialization of SIM0660, a tri-specific antibody targeting CD79a, CD19, and CD3. This move underscores Simcere Zaiming's commitment to advancing innovative treatments for B-cell-mediated diseases.
Under the agreement, Roche will acquire exclusive global rights to develop, manufacture, and commercialize SIM0660. Simcere Zaiming is eligible to receive up to $1.53 billion in total payments, including a $75 million upfront payment. Additionally, the company is eligible for tiered royalties of up to double digits on future net sales.
Developed by Simcere Zaiming using its proprietary T-cell engager poly-specific antibody technology, SIM0660 combines a CD3-engaging arm with binding domains targeting CD79a and CD19. This design is intended to induce potent T cell-mediated cytotoxicity while limiting cytokine release. The molecule is positioned as a potential first-in-class dual-targeting approach to CD79a and CD19, with the aim of providing broad coverage across B-cell-mediated diseases. Furthermore, SIM0660 holds therapeutic potential for B-cell-mediated autoimmune diseases, where targeted depletion of pathogenic B cells may offer clinical benefits.
