CHANGSHA, China, Oct. 13, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Rika Sensor, a high-tech enterprise specializing in environmental monitoring sensors and solutions, is supporting the rapid deployment of liquid cooling systems in high-density AI data centers. As these centers transition towards more powerful GPU infrastructure, the role of commissioning is evolving. Traditionally seen as a final-stage verification process, commissioning now requires earlier access to reliable operating data to identify issues, validate system performance, and ensure a smoother transition into operations.
According to the AI Data Center Energy Performance Framework, jointly released by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), AI data center deployment is occurring at an unprecedented pace. This places significant pressure on traditional project delivery and commissioning models. To address this, Rika Sensor is positioning coolant monitoring as an integral part of the commissioning workflow, rather than a task added only after the cooling system becomes operational.
In the Dubai hyperscale cloud center project, Rika Sensor demonstrated its capabilities by supplying 86 pre-calibrated and factory-configured monitoring units for a facility that included 2,000 high-density cabinets using cold plate liquid cooling with a propylene glycol-water coolant. These monitoring units were installed in less than 15 minutes per monitoring point, significantly reducing the installation time. The data collected through RS485 was transmitted via Ethernet to a temporary management platform used during commissioning. The monitoring units were wall-mounted to avoid interference with pipe pressure testing and to avoid additional welding work.
In a Tier IV data center in Bavaria, Rika Sensor installed 24 monitoring units across 12 racks and connected the system to the existing Building Management System (BMS) through 4-20 mA signals. During commissioning, two monitoring points produced abnormal readings. Upon investigation, it was found that the water quality sensors were positioned too close to chemical injection ports, which affected the measurement representativeness. The points were subsequently relocated to improve accuracy.
Rika Sensor's approach to commissioning involves extensive preparation before the monitoring equipment reaches the data center. This includes factory calibration, device configuration, communication setup, and application-specific planning. The company has obtained ISO9001, TUV, and SGS certifications and complies with CE and RoHS standards. With more than 20 independently authorized patents, Rika Sensor provides OEM/ODM and system integration services for international projects, serving customers in over 120 countries and regions.
