LEIDEN, Netherlands & CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Oct. 28, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- ProQR Therapeutics, a clinical-stage company dedicated to RNA therapies, is set to present significant progress in its ADAR-mediated RNA editing approach at upcoming conferences. The company will showcase its advancements in the development of next-generation editing oligonucleotides, focusing on its AX-0810 and AX-0811 programs.
At the TIDES Europe 2026 plenary session, ProQR's Chief Scientific Officer, Gerard Platenburg, will deliver a presentation on November 3, 2026, at 16:25 CET in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The session will cover the clinical findings from AX-0810, including a favorable safety and tolerability profile and NTCP target engagement, which demonstrate successful translation of the ADAR RNA editing approach. Additionally, the presentation will highlight the AI-enabled advances in the discovery of AX-0811, a next-generation Axiomer RNA editing oligonucleotide, which shows greater potency and durability in preclinical data.
ProQR will also present AX-0810 Phase 1 data at The Liver Meeting 2026, the annual meeting of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), which takes place from November 5 to 9, 2026. Two poster presentations will be featured. The second late-breaking poster presentation will be on the same topic, focusing on the first-in-person evidence of in vivo Axiomer RNA editing of NTCP for the treatment of cholestasis, with data from the AX-0810 Phase 1 Trial. This presentation will take place on November 8, 2026, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm MT in the same location.
Furthermore, ProQR will present Cohort 3 data and the 12-week follow-up from the AX-0810 Phase 1 study, along with new preclinical proof-of-concept data for AX-0811, at Nature Conferences RNA at the Bench and Bedside V in December 2026. The presentation will be given by Gerard Platenburg on December 9, 2026, from 2:30-3:00pm PT in La Jolla, California. Building on the clinical experience with AX-0810 and encouraging preclinical proof-of-concept findings, AX-0811, a next-generation NTCP-targeting RNA editing oligonucleotide, is being evaluated in a Phase 1 study in healthy volunteers. Initial data from this study are expected in early January 2027.
ProQR's Axiomer™ technology platform is at the heart of these advancements, utilizing a cell's own editing machinery called ADAR to make specific single nucleotide edits in RNA. This approach aims to reverse mutations or modulate protein expression, potentially yielding a new class of medicines for both rare and prevalent diseases with unmet needs.
