TEL AVIV, Israel, Oct. 23, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- PRF Technologies Ltd., a Nasdaq-listed company (Nasdaq: PRFX), today provided an update on its financial health and strategic plans. The company's interim CEO, Efraim Cohen-Arazi, highlighted several key figures in a Letter to Shareholders, emphasizing the company's robust financial position and upcoming initiatives.
As of September 30, 2026, PRF Technologies reported a consolidated cash position of approximately $11.0 million, including short-term deposits, with total liabilities of approximately $2.5 million. The company has also raised approximately $10.5 million in gross proceeds through its equity line facility during the nine months ended September 30, 2026, including approximately $0.5 million in the third quarter.
Despite the positive financial outlook, PRF Technologies has experienced a consolidated operating loss of approximately $3.7 million for the same period. This loss is preliminary and unaudited, based on management's estimates as of the date of the Letter to Shareholders.
Interim CEO Efraim Cohen-Arazi detailed the company's plans for the future, which include the commencement of the U.S. multi-center Phase 2 clinical trial for OcuRing™-K, a bio-erodible intraocular ring designed to deliver the anti-inflammatory drug ketorolac during cataract surgery. The trial is expected to begin before the end of the year, following completion of trial start-up activities. LayerBio, the majority-owned subsidiary under an Investigational New Drug (IND) for OcuRing™-K, is preparing to enroll patients in the trial.
Additionally, PRF Technologies is exploring the establishment of GridFeed™, a standalone subsidiary of the company's DeepSolar operations, as a strategic growth opportunity. The company aims to establish GridFeed as a wholly owned subsidiary to pursue various strategic transactions, particularly in the AI-driven optimization of power for hyperscale data centers. The International Energy Agency (IEA) projects global data center electricity consumption to nearly double to 950 TWh by 2030, highlighting the potential market for GridFeed.
Cohen-Arazi emphasized the importance of disciplined execution and strategic flexibility in the coming months. The company's focus will be on advancing LayerBio's clinical program, developing GridFeed, and maintaining financial discipline. The interim CEO also noted that PRF Technologies has filed its first patent application related to GridFeed, which covers plant-level microclimate forecasting technology designed to improve the accuracy of renewable energy forecasting.
Looking ahead, PRF Technologies aims to initiate the Phase 2 trial of OcuRing™-K, complete the establishment of GridFeed as a standalone subsidiary, and advance discussions with potential strategic partners. The company also plans to develop GridFeed's data center opportunity and deploy capital responsibly to maximize long-term shareholder value.
The Board of Directors and management remain committed to disciplined execution, prudent capital allocation, and transparent communication with shareholders. PRF Technologies' strategy remains centered on creating long-term shareholder value through disciplined capital allocation focused on the development of innovative technology businesses. The company intends to pursue such opportunities only where they strengthen its strategic position and have the potential to create sustainable long-term value for its shareholders.
