Pacera, a company with over three decades of accounting and group reporting software experience, has launched Pacera Lease by AARO in the UK. This new solution is designed to help UK finance teams navigate the complexities of the revised FRS 102 (Section 20) and IFRS 16 lease accounting standards, which apply to accounting periods beginning on or after January 1, 2026.
According to the press release, Pacera Lease by AARO is built on the proven AARO lease engine and is aimed at UK organizations and UK subsidiaries of international groups with numerous leases, sites, entities, or currencies. The solution automates the calculations, journals, and disclosures required by the new rules, ensuring that every lease figure is accurate, traceable to a contract, and ready for audit. This is particularly crucial as the first-year end for calendar-year companies falls on December 31, 2026, shifting the focus from planning to producing numbers that finance teams can explain and defend.
Toby Davidson, Chief Product Officer at Pacera, emphasized the importance of trust in the numbers for finance teams.
Pacera Lease by AARO is designed to be user-friendly, with a straightforward process for existing leases. The solution can be used on its own or as part of the Pacera Suite, a comprehensive Office of the CFO offering that covers consolidation, close, and FP&A. The suite is delivered with ISO/IEC 27001 certified and EU data resident hosting, the ISAE 3402 Type II certified Pacera Lease by AARO solution, and 24/5 support and comprehensive training. Pacera, which is backed by a technology-focused investment firm with $21 billion in cumulative capital commitments, serves 800+ customers and aims to help finance teams work faster, smarter, and with full confidence in their data.
The launch of Pacera Lease by AARO is significant for UK organizations as they prepare for the new lease accounting standards. By automating the calculations and ensuring traceability, the solution aims to alleviate the burden on finance teams and provide them with the tools they need to meet the demands of the revised standards.
