SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 2, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Omen AI, a startup specializing in continuous fluid testing directly integrated into AI data center cooling systems, has announced its acquisition of Aquatic Labs for $16 million in cash and stock. The acquisition brings Aquatic Labs' team, intellectual property, and sensor research into Omen AI's development of automated fluid monitoring and treatment for data centers.

The acquisition of Aquatic Labs, founded by Allan Adams, a former theoretical physicist and ocean monitoring expert, marks a significant step forward for Omen AI. Adams, now joining Omen AI as chief science officer, will lead the company's research and development efforts, bringing his extensive background in sensor technology and ocean monitoring to the data center cooling sector.

Omen AI's sensors, which attach directly to data center cooling systems and provide real-time analysis of metal content, biological contaminants, and fluid degradation, will be complemented by Aquatic Labs' sensing technology. This technology measures total alkalinity in real time without the need for chemical additives, offering a powerful tool for monitoring and maintaining the fluid condition within data center cooling systems.

To automate treatment, Omen AI will leverage the technology developed by Aquatic Labs, which measures the fluid's ability to neutralize acid. Combined with Omen AI's other measurements, these readings will help operators assess the potential for mineral buildup and corrosion in cooling systems. The goal is to reduce manual testing and intervention, thereby preventing costly downtime and ensuring more efficient and reliable cooling systems.

Omen AI, which has raised $46 million in total funding, has been working in data centers with 10+ GW of combined capacity. Founded in 2024 and based in San Francisco, Omen AI is backed by a diverse group of investors including Nava Ventures, CRV, Sheryl Sandberg, Brian Halligan (co-founder of HubSpot), Mann+Hummel, Caffeinated Capital, Vanderbilt, Genius Ventures, LMNT Ventures, and a network of strategic operators from across the AI infrastructure ecosystem.

The acquisition of Aquatic Labs will allow Omen AI to expand its capabilities and bring its advanced fluid monitoring and treatment solutions to a broader range of data centers. By automating the monitoring and treatment of cooling fluids, Omen AI aims to improve the efficiency and longevity of data center operations, ultimately reducing operational costs and downtime.

The acquisition of Aquatic Labs is a pivotal moment for Omen AI, as it brings together two complementary technologies to address a critical challenge in data center management. With the integration of Aquatic Labs' expertise, Omen AI is well-positioned to continue its mission of enhancing data center cooling systems and contributing to the growth of the AI infrastructure ecosystem.
