Nymbl, a cloud-native practice management platform serving orthotics and prosthetics (O&P), complex rehabilitation technology (CRT), and health maintenance organizations (HME/DMEPOS) providers, unveiled new AI-driven tools at the AOPA National Assembly in Las Vegas. The innovations, under the theme "The New Standard for O&P," are designed to enhance compliance, efficiency, and connectivity for O&P practices.

According to Nymbl’s 2025 O&P Benchmarking Study, which surveyed 207 practices representing $561 million in revenue, the industry faces a first-pass denial rate of 15 to 25%, with rework costing practices $25 to $40 per denied claim. The company’s platform processes more than $1.4 billion in claims annually, providing insights into where practices can save time and recover lost revenue.

At the AOPA National Assembly, Nymbl showcased several new tools:

- Nymbl ComplAI: A payer-aware documentation guidance tool that helps practices ensure their documentation aligns with insurance requirements before claims are submitted. Practices can select a patient's insurance and receive prompts on what to ask or what's missing based on payer-specific requirements. Beta enrollment for this tool opens during the AOPA National Assembly, with general availability anticipated by January 1, 2027.

- Two-Way Texting, powered by SimpleChime: Nymbl is integrating texting functionality into its platform, with automatic syncing of patient demographics and contact information from the chart. This tool is being previewed at the event, with early access available to existing Nymbl customers.

- API & Integration Framework: Nymbl has launched a documented, bi-directional API framework, allowing practices to connect their tools without waiting for a roadmap. The SimpleChime integration, currently in testing, is being demonstrated at the booth, and Nymbl is inviting practices and vendors to nominate the next tools for integration.

- Purchasing & Inventory Workflows: Nymbl is also previewing new purchasing and inventory workflows at the event to gather direct feedback from practices before finalizing the build.

Josh Lau, Founder and CEO of Nymbl, stated, "The New Standard for O&P isn't one feature; it's a shift in how practices should expect their technology to work: compliant enough to catch problems before they cost revenue, efficient enough that staff spend less time on administrative work and more time with patients, and connected across the tools they already use."
