Nord Precious Metals Mining Finds High-Grade Silver-Cobalt Mineralization at Castle East

Nord Precious Metals Mining Inc. has announced the discovery of high-grade silver-cobalt mineralization at the Castle East project near Gowganda, Ontario. The company’s wedge hole CS-26-140W1 yielded three separate silver-cobalt intervals across a 59.4-meter downhole span, with the highest grade reaching 20,675 g/t silver over 0.3 meters.
The upper interval within the 59.4-meter span consisted of 4,683 g/t silver with 0.53% cobalt over 2.0 meters, including two significant subintervals: 20,676 g/t silver with 1.16% cobalt over 0.3 meters and 6,159 g/t silver with 2.32% cobalt over the same length. The lower interval, covering 459.40 to 463.60 meters, returned 4,540 g/t silver with 0.24% cobalt over 0.9 meters, featuring a high-grade subinterval of 10,414 g/t silver with 0.72% cobalt over 0.3 meters and 1,991 g/t silver over 1.2 meters. These results are part of an ongoing exploration sequence that has already produced several notable intercepts.
This latest discovery lies approximately nine meters from the 914 g/t silver intercept in hole CS-21-92 and ten meters from the 992 g/t silver intercept in hole CS-20-43. The company’s technical team, led by Frank J. Basa, P.Eng., CEO of Nord Precious Metals Mining Inc., emphasized the importance of these findings in the context of the Castle East model. Basa stated, "CS-26-140W1 adds three separate high-grade silver-cobalt intervals and gives our technical team important new data for the Castle East model."
The results are being incorporated into the expanded Castle East geological model, which includes data from over 75,000 meters of drilling. Follow-up work will focus on the interpreted continuity and orientation of the three mineralized intervals and their relationship to the Robinson and Big Silver structural frameworks. Assay results for additional holes from the ongoing program will be reported as received and reviewed.
The company’s strategy is to advance the Castle property from surface to depth, integrating surface gold work and conceptual open-pit potential assessments. Nord’s production strategy is anchored by existing infrastructure, with the Re-2Ox hydrometallurgical process validated at pilot scale through SGS Lakefield, designed to address arsenic in complex silver-cobalt ores while producing technical-grade cobalt sulphate and other metal products.
