Nexans, the global pure player in sustainable electrification, has successfully completed a EUR 500 million bond issuance. The bond carries a 5-year maturity and an annual interest rate of 4.25%. The funds will be used to refinance the EUR 500 million bridge term loan the company entered into with BNP PARIBAS and Société Générale on April 27, 2026, which was intended to finance the acquisition of Republic Wire in June 2026.

The transaction was welcomed by institutional fixed income investors in France and abroad, reflecting the market’s confidence in Nexans’ credit quality. Vincent Piquet, the company’s Chief Financial Officer, declared, “This successful bond issuance confirms the market’s confidence in the strategic acquisition of Republic Wire and our strategy as a pure player of electrification. We will continue to execute on that strategy, while maintaining a disciplined approach to financing.”

The bonds are rated BB+ by Standard & Poor’s and are listed on the regulated market of Euronext in Paris. The proceeds from the bond issuance will allow Nexans to maintain a solid financial position as it continues to grow and innovate in the electrification sector. The company, which operates in 39 countries with 12,830 employees, has generated €6.1 billion in standard sales for the year 2025 and is committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Nexans, through its three core businesses, PWR Transmission, PWR Grid, and PWR Connect, combines deep industry expertise with cutting-edge innovation to accelerate the energy transition. The company’s unique E3 model, focused on Environment, Economy, and Engagement, drives every action, aligning performance with purpose.
