New York Cancer & Blood Specialists Welcomes Experienced Hematologist- Oncologist Dr. Jacob Levenson

On August 31, 2026, New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS), a leading oncology practice, welcomed Dr. Jacob Levenson, a hematologist-oncologist, to its team. This addition strengthens the clinical capabilities of NYCBS, which operates across Long Island, New York City, and the Hudson Valley.

Dr. Levenson will be based at the NYCBS office located at 2330 Eastchester Road in the Bronx. He brings extensive experience in managing complex solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, along with on-site oversight for chemotherapy and immunotherapy infusions. His expertise will be valuable in recognizing and managing infusion reactions and urgent oncologic complications, ensuring comprehensive care for patients.

Dr. Levenson’s clinical experience spans both inpatient and outpatient oncology settings. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine after completing a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Economics at Brandeis University. His medical training continued with an Internal Medicine Residency at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, North Shore University Hospital, and Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he completed his Hematology Oncology Fellowship.

Dr. Levenson’s research focuses on liver-directed and precision therapies in gastrointestinal malignancies. His work includes research on hepatic artery infusion pump therapy for unresectable colorectal liver metastases, circulating tumor DNA during total neoadjuvant therapy for rectal cancer, and data analytics in pancreatic cancer. He is a co-first author of an American Society of Clinical Oncology Education Book chapter on liver-directed therapies in colorectal cancer and is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
