NEW ART Holdings, a leading Japanese bridal jewelry group, has opened its first store in South Korea, marking a significant expansion into the country’s luxury market. The flagship store, located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, combines the company’s two main brands, EXELCO DIAMOND and GINZA DIAMOND SHIRAISHI, with contemporary art, creating a unique retail experience that integrates jewelry and art.
The 459.7 square meter (approximately 4,948 square feet) store is housed in White Stone Gallery, a space designed by renowned architect Kengo Kuma. The store’s concept, "Art × Diamond × Jewelry," aims to offer customers a destination that goes beyond the selection of a ring. The EXELCO DIAMOND brand, rooted in the royal and aristocratic traditions of Europe, and GINZA DIAMOND SHIRAISHI, which has a 28-year history of Japanese bridal craftsmanship, are both showcased in this new retail space.
The Seoul Flagship also features works by Soonik Kwon, a celebrated Korean contemporary artist. This integration of art and jewelry is designed to create a memorable and enriching experience for customers. The store is operated by NEW ART Korea Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.
Yukio Shiraishi, the Representative Director and Chairman of NEW ART Holdings, expressed excitement about the new store, stating, "Beautiful things enrich our lives and make life shine more brightly. With our first store in Seoul, we want to create exactly that kind of moment, a place where diamonds, jewelry, and art come alive together."
Chen Szu Pei, Director of NEW ART Taiwan and Head of Web & Marketing, added, "Korea is a natural next step in our expansion across Asia, and another milestone in building the international presence of our brands. In Seoul, as in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore, our focus is the same: bringing the customer experience we have refined in Japan, made-to-order craftsmanship and service that earns lifelong trust, to couples in each new market."
NEW ART Holdings, founded in 1994 and headquartered in Ginza, Tokyo, is Japan's leading specialist in bridal diamond jewelry. The company operates a diversified portfolio including the flagship jewelry brands GINZA DIAMOND SHIRAISHI and EXELCO DIAMOND, with a total of 154 stores globally, including 128 in Japan and 26 internationally in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and South Korea.
The opening of the Seoul Flagship is part of the company's ongoing strategy to expand its international presence and strengthen its position in the global bridal jewelry market.
