BEIJING, Oct. 14, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- At the 2026 China International Industry Fair, NeodraDynamics Robotics unveiled its flagship Neo1 heavy-duty hydraulic robot in partnership with JD Industrial. This 4-meter-class hybrid hydraulic-electric super humanoid robot is designed to address the limitations of pure-electric robots in heavy-load and extreme-environment operations.
Current humanoid robots, which rely entirely on electric drive systems, face significant challenges in industrial settings. They struggle with insufficient power density, limited load capacity, poor shock resistance, and weak environmental adaptability. These limitations have confined most electric humanoids to laboratory demonstrations and lightweight service scenarios, making it difficult for them to deliver real industrial value in high-demand fields.
NeodraDynamics’ innovative hydraulic-electric hybrid drive technology acts as a revolutionary base technology and high-reliability robotic muscle. This solution combines the high-power density, strong impact resistance, and extreme environmental adaptability of self-developed digital hydraulics with the high precision of servo electric drives. This core technology perfectly balances brute force and micrometer-level accuracy, addressing the fundamental power and durability pain points of robots.
The Neo1 heavy-duty hydraulic robot is equipped with 41 full-body active degrees of freedom. Except for two forearm rotational joints that adopt electric drive, all 39 core joints use self-developed miniature digital hydraulic linear actuators. Each actuator weighs only 1 kilogram but generates ton-level continuous thrust, supporting a 500-kilogram dual-arm collaborative payload. Meanwhile, it achieves ±0.005 millimeter repeated positioning accuracy, ensuring both heavy-load power and delicate precise operations.
Driven by this hydraulic-electric hybrid base technology, the Neo1 robot breaks human physical limits and scenario constraints, undertaking high-risk, high-intensity work that humans cannot or should not perform. In heavy industry, it completes heavy component assembly and port heavy load handling. In nuclear energy fields, its radiation-resistant hydraulic modules support safe nuclear fuel transfer and equipment maintenance. For deep-sea projects, it withstands ultra-high underwater pressure to execute subsea equipment maintenance. In mining and disaster rescue scenarios, its shock and pollution resistance enable efficient demolition, clearance, and hazard zone operations. For the first time, embodied intelligence is freed from lightweight simulation tasks to deliver tangible industrial value in hardcore extreme scenarios.
The joint CIIF exhibition with JD Industrial builds a full-chain commercialization path for heavy-duty hydraulic robots. Leveraging JD Industrial's mature industrial supply chain and extensive end-user scenario resources, the two parties jointly verify industrial landing solutions for hydraulic-electric hybrid robots. Through cooperation in scenario matching and pilot application, they effectively advance the large-scale deployment of new-generation heavy-duty robot technology.
Founded by Tsinghua-background technical experts, NeodraDynamics has built full-stack R&D capabilities for digital hydraulic core components and complete robot platforms. The company emphasizes that hydraulic-electric hybrid drive is not a single-product innovation but a disruptive underlying base technology for the robotics industry. It completely changes the industry's homogeneous competition centered on pure-electric bionic design, opening a brand-new development track for humanoid robots focusing on extreme-scenario industrial landing, reshaping the entire embodied intelligence industry ecosystem and development logic.
