MTM Transit Awarded Contract to Operate Scottsdale Trolley System

MTM Transit, a leading provider of transportation management and transit operations services, has been awarded a contract by the City of Scottsdale to operate the Scottsdale Trolley system. The contract, which begins on September 13, 2026, will see MTM Transit take over the fare-free trolley network for an initial 22-month period, with three one-year renewal options available.

The Scottsdale Trolley system is a crucial part of the city’s public transportation infrastructure, serving 17 vehicles that operate on three fixed routes. These trolleys connect residents and visitors to various destinations across the city, including neighborhoods, shopping districts, dining venues, entertainment venues, and community events. The system plays a vital role in enhancing mobility and accessibility for the community.
