Mobility Places Launches Integration to Prevent Geotab Fleets from Parking Issues

On September 18, 2026, Mobility Places launched a groundbreaking integration that helps Geotab fleets avoid parking-related issues such as tickets, towing, and denied entry. This new feature syncs vehicle records from Geotab into Mobility Places, ensuring that every parking operator the fleet uses is informed about which vehicles are authorized to park.

Previously, outdated vehicle lists and separate operator portals left fleets vulnerable to parking enforcement problems. Each garage or lot had its own access and enforcement processes, and adding or swapping a vehicle without informing the operator could result in fines, towing, or denied entry, even when the fleet had paid for parking.

Keeping these lists current often meant logging into a separate portal for each parking operator and entering vehicles by hand, a process that was prone to errors. A single mistyped license plate could lead to a citation. The new integration from Mobility Places automates this process, syncing vehicle records from Geotab into Mobility Places. Fleet teams can link vehicles to the locations where they will park, and Mobility Places will notify operators as the authorized vehicle list changes. Updates and removals in Geotab carry through automatically.

"Putting every parking interaction in one place helped, but it wasn't good enough for us. Customers still had to type in their vehicles, and mistakes happen. A team shouldn't be the integration layer. Systems should be."

The integration builds on Mobility Places' existing vehicle registration and operator notification workflows. Integrated fleets also receive monthly utilization reports to help match parking capacity to demand. The integration is now available to U.S. Geotab customers for parking locations managed through Mobility Places. Fleets can find the Mobility Places Fleet Parking solution on the Geotab Marketplace or directly on the company's website.

This new feature is designed to streamline the parking process for Geotab fleets, reducing the risk of parking-related issues and ensuring smoother operations across multiple markets. With this integration, fleets can focus on their core business while Mobility Places handles the complexities of parking management.
