SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 19, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Mesh, the leading crypto payments network, has partnered with Visa to make stablecoin and crypto balances spendable across Visa’s global acceptance network. This collaboration, which spans upwards of 175 million merchant locations across more than 200 countries and territories, is designed to unlock the spending potential of the global crypto community.

According to Crypto.com research, the number of global crypto owners reached 774 million as of June 2026. Despite this significant number, almost none of their collective value has reached everyday spending. Visa's network processes $14.2 trillion in payments volume in fiscal 2025, highlighting the vast potential for growth in the crypto payments space.

Mesh’s partnership with Visa aims to address the barriers that have prevented crypto and stablecoin balances from being used for everyday spending. Currently, consumers often need to cash out their digital assets to a bank account or sign up for a card tied to a single platform. This new collaboration, however, allows consumers to pay in-store and online directly from their wallet apps, using their existing crypto or stablecoin balances.

Mesh will enable participating digital wallets and platforms to offer a pay-from-balance experience in-store and online. A Visa credential is provisioned behind the scenes, so the consumer can tap at a standard contactless terminal or check out online without having to sell, transfer, or preload funds. The merchant receives a standard payment, with no need for new hardware or any changes to the existing checkout workflow.

Mesh already has more than 200 enterprises using its network and connects hundreds of wallets, exchanges, and platforms. Through its partnerships with top enterprises like Kalshi, Tools for Humanity, Félix Pago, Majority, and KAST, Mesh's network reaches hundreds of millions of users and connects them to Visa on the merchant adoption side.

Mesh's vision extends beyond any single asset class. The company has joined Paxos's Global Dollar Network and launched the Mesh Alliance Program, which unites more than 50 partners to simplify the growing complexity of enterprise crypto payments. It has also released Mesh Wallet, which empowers AI agents to complete real-world transactions using stablecoins.

In summary, this partnership between Mesh and Visa is a significant step in making digital assets more accessible and usable in everyday transactions. By leveraging Visa's extensive global network, Mesh aims to bring the spending power of crypto and stablecoins to the masses, making it easier for consumers to spend their digital assets wherever and whenever they choose.
