MegazoneCloud, a leading AI and cloud company, has embarked on a project to develop an AI agent for Hanmi Pharmaceutical, aiming to automate quality assurance operations. The project, part of the MSIT•NIPA 'AX One-Stop Voucher Program,' involves a consortium of MegazoneCloud, Hanmi Pharmaceutical, Samsung SDS, and Selectstar.

Hanmi Pharmaceutical, a key player in the pharmaceutical industry, is leading the project. MegazoneCloud will utilize its enterprise AI operating system, AIR Studio, to build the AI agent. The agent, named 'Hanmi Q-Agent,' will focus on the retrieval and analysis of quality documents, which Hanmi Pharmaceutical has accumulated over the years. These documents, totaling around 4,000, are crucial for demonstrating the consistent manufacturing of pharmaceuticals in accordance with regulations.

Suh Min-taek, Vice President of MegazoneCloud, highlighted the significance of the project, stating, "The pharmaceutical quality field is one of the most demanding areas for AI adoption, as a single word can determine a regulatory judgment and the requirements for accuracy and traceability are exceptionally strict." The company has chosen to fine-tune Upstage's Korean model 'Solar' to fit the GMP domain, the Good Manufacturing Practice standard central to pharmaceutical quality assurance.

The goal of the project is to reduce the time required for quality document verification by more than 40%. Currently, staff members at Hanmi Pharmaceutical must manually search through vast volumes of documents and cross-check them against the latest regulatory standards and internal guidelines. Discrepancies are often only corrected after inspections, but the new AI agent is expected to enable preventive quality management that reflects the latest regulations in real time.

MegazoneCloud will deploy its AI agent on the AIR Studio platform, fine-tuned specifically for the Hanmi Pharmaceutical domain. The project kicked off with the "2026 AX One-Stop Voucher Program Hanmi Pharmaceutical Consortium Kickoff" on August 28. The company has a strong track record in implementing AI solutions across various industries, including Hanatour's AI chat consultation service.

Hanmi Pharmaceutical, Samsung SDS, and Selectstar will each play a crucial role in the project. Hanmi Pharmaceutical will oversee the initiative, while Samsung SDS will provide the AX infrastructure. Selectstar will handle data processing and third-party verification.

MegazoneCloud, with its vision "Transform Tomorrow, Together," is positioning itself as a strategic partner for customers' AI innovation and growth across 10 countries, including Korea, North America, Japan, Southeast Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East. The company's expertise in AI and cloud technologies, combined with its commitment to regulated industries, makes it well-suited for this project.
