Core sessions focused on benchmarking metrics, maximizing ancillary revenue streams, optimizing billing and coding, managing electronic medical record (EMR) transitions, and overcoming practice leadership hurdles.
A dedicated panel on AI integration and technology in healthcare discussed real-world applications of artificial intelligence within independent urology. Topics included ambient digital scribes, administrative workflow automation, AI-assisted pathology, and diagnostic imaging.
Specialized working groups and breakouts addressed the specific operational needs of clinical research staff, radiation oncology teams, laboratory managers, and emerging leaders. These tracks covered research administration, recruitment, and clinical trial expansion.
The policy and keynote address session, held on November 7, featured a bipartisan analysis of federal regulatory shifts and their impact on independent physician autonomy. Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and political strategist David Axelrod led the discussion, providing insights into how policy decisions affect the urology community.
