Loomis Completes Acquisition of Hermes Transportes Blindados

STOCKHOLM, Oct. 5, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Loomis has completed its acquisition of 99.80 percent of the shares in Hermes Transportes Blindados S.A., a leading provider of security logistics services in Peru. The total purchase price for the tendered shares amounted to approximately USD 297 million (approximately SEK 3 billion).
Hermes, established as a key player in the Peruvian market, offers a range of services including transportation, processing, and secure storage of valuables such as cash, precious metals, and minerals. The company also provides ATM management and cash processing services. With a workforce of approximately 3,400 employees and 19 branches, Hermes serves around 1,000 customers across various sectors, including financial, industrial, retail, public sector, and mining.
On May 5, 2026, Loomis entered into a Tender Offer Agreement with shareholders representing 99.49 percent of the outstanding shares in Hermes. Following this, Loomis launched a public tender offer (OPA) on August 31, 2026. By the end of the offer period on September 30, 2026, 87,072,827 shares, representing 99.80 percent of the outstanding shares, had been tendered. The transaction was completed on October 5, 2026, after all closing conditions were met.
Hermes' management team and employees will continue to operate under the Loomis umbrella. From October 2026, Hermes will be reported within Loomis' segment Europe and Latin America. The acquisition was financed through a previously announced EUR 300 million bond issuance, which was refinanced ahead of closing with the proceeds from this issuance.
This strategic move by Loomis underscores its commitment to expanding its footprint in the Latin American market and enhancing its service offerings. The transaction marks a significant step in Loomis' growth strategy, providing the company with a robust presence in a region known for its diverse economic and industrial sectors.
