NEW YORK, Oct. 09, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- LB Pharmaceuticals Inc has announced the granting of equity awards to two new executives, Dr. Susan G. Kozauer and Joseph Miller, as part of a strategic move to attract and retain top talent. The inducement grants, made on October 9, 2026, are in line with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5635(c)(4), which allows for such grants to be made outside of the company's existing equity incentive plan.
Dr. Kozauer, who has been appointed as the new Chief Medical Officer, and Mr. Miller, who has taken on the role of Chief Financial Officer, each received an option to purchase 200,000 shares of LB Pharmaceuticals’ common stock. The exercise price per share is set at $37.22, the closing price of LB Pharmaceuticals’ common stock on the date of grant. These options carry a ten-year term and will vest over a period of four years, with 25% of the shares vesting on the first anniversary of the grant date, and an additional 1/48th of the shares vesting monthly thereafter, subject to continuous service through the applicable vesting dates.
LB Pharmaceuticals, a neuromedicines company dedicated to developing and commercializing high-impact therapies for underserved brain disorders, is building a pipeline that includes its lead product candidate, LB-102. This drug, if approved, has the potential to become a mainstay of psychiatric practice by offering a balanced clinical activity and tolerability profile that could provide a significant alternative to existing branded and generic therapeutics for a broad range of neuropsychiatric diseases.
The inducement grants are part of LB Pharmaceuticals' broader strategy to enhance its leadership team and support the advancement of its product pipeline. By offering equity, the company aims to align the interests of its new executives with those of its shareholders, fostering long-term growth and success.
In a statement, Ellen Rose, the media and investor contact for LB Pharmaceuticals, emphasized the importance of these strategic hires.
Dr. Kozauer, with a background in neurology and a track record of leading clinical development programs, is expected to bring significant insights to the company's research and development efforts. Mr. Miller, known for his financial acumen and experience in the pharmaceutical industry, will play a crucial role in the company's financial strategy and operations.
LB Pharmaceuticals remains committed to its mission of addressing the multiple dimensions of underserved brain disorders and is optimistic about the future under the leadership of its new executives.
