LAURION Corrects Zinc Assay Error in A-Zone Drill Program Update

TORONTO, Ontario, September 1, 2026, LAURION Mineral Exploration Inc., a mid-stage Canadian mineral exploration company, has corrected an error in its August 5, 2026 press release and provided an update on its 2026 Phase 1 A-Zone drill program and permitting progress.

In its initial press release, LAURION had reported a 6-metre interval of better than 6% zinc at the A-Zone. However, the company now states that this statement was inaccurate. The correct reference is to a 5.35-metre interval grading 3.28% zinc, found from 267.75 meters to 273.10 meters in hole LBX26-104, as detailed in Table 2 of the original press release.

Despite this correction, the assay table and all other technical disclosures remain accurate and unchanged, according to LAURION. The company advises readers to rely on the assay results disclosed in the table.

The 2026 Phase 1 A-Zone drill program has seen significant progress. LAURION has increased the planned drilling from 3,865 meters to 5,605 meters, across a total of 22 drill holes. SRK Consulting has completed an independent structural gap analysis of the A-Zone deposit, identifying five priority target zones that will inform near-term drill prioritization and infill drilling.

To date, we have completed 22 holes at the A-Zone, and we have already reported what we believe to be meaningful gold and base metal results from the first three holes. SRK's independent gap analysis gives us a clear framework as we continue working toward a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate."

The company has also made progress in its permitting efforts. The Ontario Ministry has confirmed receipt of the company's Notice of Project Status, initiating a review period. The company's Recovery of Minerals Permit application for the surface stockpile is undergoing completeness and technical review, with Indigenous consultation requirements to be communicated separately by the Ministry.

LAURION's Ishkōday Gold and Base Metal Project covers approximately 57 square kilometers within the Beardmore, Geraldton and Onaman, Tashota Greenstone Belts. Historical and modern exploration programs have completed over 98,000 meters of drilling, confirming a large and evolving gold-rich base metal mineral system.

As of the date of the press release, 18 of the 22 planned holes in Phase 1 of the A-Zone program have been completed, with core logging approximately 80% complete. Assay results for holes LBX26-116 through LBX26-124 are pending and will be released as received.

LAURION continues to evaluate opportunities that may enhance project development flexibility, including the potential evaluation of historical surface stockpile processing. The company's objective remains to build technical clarity, scale, and long-term project value before monetization, ensuring that future development decisions are supported by strong geological foundations and reduced execution risk.
