MILFORD, Mass. and BURLINGTON, N.C., Oct. 23, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Labcorp, a global leader in comprehensive laboratory services, has announced a partnership with Waters Corporation to expand access to the FDA-approved BD Onclarity™ HPV Assay. This collaboration aims to provide a more comprehensive and flexible HPV testing option, enabling cervical cancer screening in various settings, including clinics, patient service centers, and at-home environments.

Through its extensive network, Labcorp will offer the BD Onclarity HPV Assay to more than 850,000 physicians and healthcare providers and over 2,200 patient service centers. This initiative is set to begin in late 2026, marking a significant step in addressing the persistent gaps in cervical cancer screening. According to Jeff Andrews, M.D., FRCSC, Vice President of Medical Affairs at Waters Advanced Diagnostics, the partnership is designed to overcome barriers such as privacy, access, and socioeconomic factors that can hinder women from staying current with recommended tests.

The BD Onclarity HPV Assay is the only FDA-approved HPV test that supports all American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP) Enduring Risk-Based Management Guidelines. It offers extended genotyping, identifying HPV types 16, 18, 31, 45, 51, and 52, as well as three sets of strategically pooled results, regardless of the collection method. This comprehensive testing option is crucial in managing cervical cancer risk, especially as HPV vaccination has reduced infections from types 16 and 18, leading to a growing share of cervical disease among younger, vaccinated populations.

Dr. Brian Caveney, Chief Medical and Scientific Officer at Labcorp, highlighted the importance of expanding access to comprehensive HPV testing.
