NEW YORK, SAN FRANCISCO and LOS ANGELES, Oct. 23, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor Inc., a leading producer of traditional Chinese baijiu, has taken a significant step in its international expansion by signing a two-year exclusive distribution agreement with Diamond Hong, Inc., the leading distributor of Asian-American markets in the United States. The deal, finalized in October 2026, marks another milestone in KKL's efforts to reach a broader audience in the U.S.
Diamond Hong, based in New York with branch offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles, has been serving the U.S. Asian-American market for over three decades. The company currently holds a 75% share of the U.S. Chinese baijiu distribution market, representing more than 26 brands. This partnership gives KKL direct access to one of the country's most important Asian-American consumer networks, laying the groundwork for future sales growth.
To celebrate the agreement, Diamond Hong has placed a large outdoor billboard advertising Kinmen kaoliang liquor in Times Square. This move underscores the shared commitment of both companies to the U.S. market. Diamond Hong's distribution network spans retail channels, including Asian supermarket chains, liquor stores, and Chinese grocery stores; food-service channels such as Chinese restaurants, Asian restaurant chains, and bars; and specialty channels like duty-free shops, cocktail bars, and tasting-event partners. This wide range of distribution channels ensures that Kinmen kaoliang liquor will reach American consumers in various settings.
Outside Greater China, the U.S. is the world's largest market for Chinese baijiu, surpassing both Northeast and Southeast Asia in size. Diamond Hong operates large warehouses in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Its New York facility alone covers 100,000 square feet, supporting large-scale imports, inventory management, and distribution. With warehouses on both the East and West Coasts, the company can serve the entire U.S. market more efficiently, streamlining deliveries and reducing shipping costs.
KKL has accelerated its overseas expansion in recent years. This year, the company participated in Food & Hospitality Asia (FHA), where it drew inquiries from overseas buyers and spirits distributors, signed a distribution agreement in Malaysia, and secured new orders from Singapore. This month, KKL joined the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) at SIAL Paris 2026 to pursue opportunities in Europe's fine dining and premium spirits segments. In 2027, it plans to attend the Korea Bar Show as it continues to strengthen its presence in Asia. With its U.S. distribution network now in place, the company's reach has extended from Asia to Western markets. KKL aims to further grow its export footprint and cultural influence over the next two years.
Founded in 1952, Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor Inc. is a publicly owned enterprise of the Kinmen County Government in Taiwan. The distillery uses sorghum grown on Kinmen's dry farmland and has developed its own distinctive "Kinmen aroma" profile. Its products are known for their aromatic, mellow, sweet, and crisp character. Its vision is to establish Kinmen as an island celebrated for its baijiu culture, rich aromas, and poetic spirit, and to become the leading Chinese liquor brand.
