KB Home opens Sandstone, a new 1,500-home community in North Las Vegas

KB Home, one of the nation’s largest and most trusted homebuilders, has announced the opening of the first phase of Sandstone, a sprawling master plan spanning nearly 300 acres in North Las Vegas. This development, encompassing four new communities with over 1,500 new homes, includes more than 12 acres of planned on-site parks, trails, and amenities.
The new master plan, located at the corner of North 5th Street and the Las Vegas Beltway (CC-215), offers a range of home types, including one- and two-story single-family homes and two-story townhomes. Homebuyers can choose from up to five bedrooms and five bathrooms, with a selection of amenities such as basketball and pickleball courts, horseshoe pits, ramadas, barbecue and picnic areas, and a dog park.
Mayor Pro Tem Scott Black of the City of North Las Vegas expressed enthusiasm about the new development: “KB Home’s new Sandstone master plan represents a significant investment in North Las Vegas and our future. These new homes will help provide more attainable homeownership opportunities for years to come, while creating jobs, supporting local businesses, and generating economic activity throughout our city.”
Sandstone is strategically located to provide easy access to major employment centers, including Nellis and Creech Air Force Bases, as well as key transportation routes such as the Las Vegas Beltway and Interstates 11 and 15. The development is also close to shopping, dining, and entertainment venues like Deer Springs Crossing and Deer Springs Town Center. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument, Shadow Creek Golf Course, and Aliante Golf Club, as well as nearby hiking, biking, and skiing opportunities at Mount Charleston and Lee Canyon.
