TAIPEI, Oct. 7, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Kavalan Whisky, the globally celebrated single malt whisky distillery from Taiwan, has expanded its presence in Australia through a new partnership with Cerbaco Distribution. This move is expected to broaden the reach of Kavalan’s award-winning single malt across the Australian market.
Cerbaco, a family-owned premium spirits specialist with over four decades of experience, will lead national distribution for Kavalan. The partnership aims to bring Kavalan to more Australian retailers, bars, and whisky drinkers.
Taiwan's subtropical climate shapes Kavalan's fruit-forward character, while its use of different casks brings variety to the range. Kavalan is particularly known for its sherry cask whiskies, with notes of dried fruit, chocolate, and spice. LÁN Single Malt Whisky, another offering from the distillery, combines floral and fruit notes with vanilla and caramel sweetness. Matured in ex-bourbon, ruby port, and STR vinho casks, LÁN offers a unique taste profile.
Cerbaco's nationwide network, established in 1985 and representing more than 1,500 spirits, will ensure that Kavalan's products are available in every Australian state and territory. Cerbaco's extensive portfolio includes some of the world's finest spirits across every major category, from Armagnac to Cognac, whisky, tequila, and vodka.
Kavalan Distillery in Yilan County has been pioneering the art of single malt whisky in Taiwan since 2005. The distillery sources its crystal meltwaters from Snow Mountain and is enhanced by sea and mountain breezes. These conditions combine to create Kavalan's signature creaminess. Backed by more than 45 years of beverage-making under the parent company, King Car Group, Kavalan has collected 1,000 gold or higher awards from the industry's most competitive contests.
Through Cerbaco's nationwide network, Australian whisky drinkers will have more opportunities to explore Kavalan's different expressions, including its sherry cask whiskies and LÁN Single Malt Whisky. The partnership is expected to drive a new era of growth for Kavalan in the Australian market.
