Insco Distributing, which was founded in 1958 and is still family-owned, has expanded its reach in the Lower Rio Grande Valley by opening a branch in Harlingen, Texas. This move has significant implications for homeowners in the region, as it ensures that Rio Grande Valley residents have access to Ruud equipment and parts without the need for long wait times on out-of-town shipments.
Ecotech Heating & Cooling, a local HVAC contractor based in Harlingen, Texas, has established a strong partnership with Insco Distributing. The company recommends Ruud as its primary choice for residential and commercial jobs, with Goodman and Lennox as secondary options. Insco Distributing, with more than 35 branches across Texas and Oklahoma, stocks the Ruud residential lineup, including the current Endeavor line of air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, and gas furnaces. Its Harlingen branch is conveniently located in the same city as Ecotech's base, with sister branches in Brownsville and McAllen.
The relationship between Ecotech Heating & Cooling and Insco Distributing has been mutually beneficial, with Ecotech benefiting from the quick turnaround times on Ruud equipment and parts.
The partnership has proven particularly advantageous during a critical period in the HVAC industry. The EPA's phasedown of R-410A refrigerant has created a need for contractors to quote either Ruud Endeavor systems, which use R-454B, a lower global warming potential refrigerant, or R-410A systems, which can still be installed under a rule finalized in May 2026. Under this new system, contractors can now quote either kind of system, and a distributor with local inventory shortens the wait on both.
Ruud backs the Endeavor Line of air conditioners and heat pumps with up to 10 years of parts coverage, ensuring that customers receive reliable and long-lasting equipment. Ecotech Heating & Cooling has served the Rio Grande Valley since 2018, and Longoria has been in the trade since 2008. The company holds a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractor license (TACLA00089091E), is EPA Section 608 certified for refrigerant handling, and is insured. Every job is backed by a satisfaction guarantee, and the company offers financing with approved credit.
Ecotech Heating & Cooling operates from 1525 S H St in Harlingen, Texas, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and responds to service requests within 24 hours. Services include AC repair, AC maintenance, AC installation and replacement, heat pump installation and repair, ductwork repair and installation, thermostat service, indoor air quality systems, attic insulation, and commercial HVAC. The company holds more than 60 Google reviews and offers financing with approved credit.
